The Port of Bay City Authority constructed a new navigation channel at the mouth of the Colorado River into West Matagorda Bay per the conceptual design and NEPA coordination by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Coastal Tech:
- conducted numerical modeling to assess channel stability and navigation safety;
- provided customary preliminary and final design phase services, including plans and specifications for construction – for the new channel – realigned to avoid wetlands loss;
- obtained USACE Section 404 permit and Texas General Land Office Surface Lease; and
- performed construction administration.
