Santa Rosa County engaged Coastal Tech to assist in managing and processing post-storm grants from FEMA associated with Hurricane Sally, and since about 2006 has engaged Coastal Tech to assist with applying for, and processing grants from the FDEP through the Beaches Funding Program receiving millions of state dollars to support the County’s beach restoration efforts.
Coastal Tech managed and coordinated grant administration activities to obtain FEMA reimbursements for funding via FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to support the COUNTY’s recovery efforts from Hurricane Sally that struck the Florida Panhandle in September 2020. Following Disaster FL-DR-4564-FL, the Santa Rosa County submitted formal requests and funding was obligated by FEMA for Emergency Protective Measures as outlined for Category B in the FEMA Public Assistance Applicant Handbook as well as various other disaster related recovery projects.
